First off, I would like to say that I love the watch and that if it was based on looks and functionality I would have given it a 5 star rating. When I first saw it I knew that I had to have it because it just looked like a rugged and dependable watch. I like the fact that it has a nylon and velcro strap because it makes it that much more of an "athlete's" watch. I would have given it a five star rating if it wasn't for the materials themselves. The watch face is made of plastic and so is the housing. I do recommend this watch if you are going to wear if for light physical activity like running or weight lifting, but deffinately not if you are going to go rock climbing or work on a car with it on. You can protect the face of the watch by putting some thick packing tape over it, or cut a circle out of an IPOD or cell phone clear shield and put it over the face. Other than those two flaws this is a great watch, you won't be disappointed.
