The materials they use for the different spots are perfect.. thin rubber for the toe, durable leather for the spots that are at risk for scuffing or wearing down, suede for the colored accents, and then a breathable nylon mesh type material for the sides.
The sole is padded perfectly for my tastes, soft walk, but it will stand up to a lot of wear.
My only complaint is that the shoe pinches the top of my big toe at the articulation point (where it bends). I'm hoping this is something that will change as I wear them in, or maybe I need to loosen the laces even further.
Overall this shoe is very well crafted, functional and stylish, I would recommend.
