I'm surprised that there are no reviews for these specific Adidas Originals Samba's. I bought these in green and feel they're a decent purchase for the money ($49).
First off, most people are probably buying these for their looks. I bought the green thinking I might not like them in person, but they actually look better in person that I would have expected. The green goes well with jeans/ and just about anything. Plus, it's a unique color that no one else has.
These run narrow, so if you have wide feet, I'd definitely avoid them. The materials on the shoe feel fairly high-quality for $49. I think they'd work well for indoor soccer and for casual around-the-house or office wear.
One of my main complaints with Samba's is that they are lacking in padding. These are similar in that the padding/ support is really thin & bare-bones. For contrast, the Samba Millenium's have a bit more padding.
Another minor thing to mention is that, for some odd reason, the tongue seems to squeak a lot. Maybe it's because I don't have my laces tied tight enough though. Part of it is due to the leather, and I assume it'll go away once they're broken in a bit.
Overall though, I think these are good unique purchase, especially given the relatively affordable price. I think they look awesome, but they're a little stiff and a lacking in padding/support.
